The Effects Upon Water Loading Test and Hickey-Hare Test in Infectious Hepatitis

Abstract
The objective of this study is to investigate effects upon the water loading test and the Hickey-Hare test in infectious hepatitis, in which state many reports have described impairment of water excretion. Accordingly, the afore-mentioned tests were made in 9 children with infectious hepatitis. In all, during the acute phase of the disease, a significant difference compared to control samples were observed
1) Water loading test in the group of infectious hepatitis revealed slower increasing urine volume at first, but later, slower decreasing urine volume compared to the control samples.
2) Water loading test in the group of infectious hepatitis showed slower decreasing urine specific gravity compared to the control samples.
3) In Hickey-Hare test, the group of infectious hepatitis revealed more rapid response in dropping of urine flow compared to the con rol samples.
) It assumed that the above -esults are arisen from the accumulated anti-diuretic substance (ADS) in infectious hepatitis.
